    Size/Weight/Age: Max length : 8.0 cm TL male/unsexed; (Ref. 26938 )
    Distribution: Western Atlantic: Bermuda, New Jersey and northern Gulf of Mexico in USA to southeastern Brazil; absent from Bahamas. Eastern Central Pacific: coastal lagoons and tidal flats of Sonora, Sinaloa and Nayarit, Mexico (Ref. 27659 ).
    Description: About 6 faint lines radiate from eye. 2 widely separated patches of papillae in central part of sucking disk (Ref. 26938 ).
    Biology: Inhabits grassy and rocky shallow areas and around pilings. Has been reared in captivity (Ref. 35420 ). Usually found in water <1m deep but sometimes to depths of 33 m (Ref. 26938 ).
