Tuesday, August 2, 2011 6:03 PM (permalink) 0 Lol thanks.  We got an insane aussie/pacific order of corals (44 boxes) from the transhipper sunday night.  All the non-photo stuff is coming home with me - owner of the shop doesn't want to feed his tanks  So I'll have about four or five more tennis ball sized ones to place in that tank. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 11:22 PM (permalink) 0 sometimes if food settles between the polyps it will cause some necrosis in the area, a little bit of tissue drop here and there seems fine it's when it is sustained.  Other than that, it's a very hearty coral when fed well, and really blowing settled food off a coral takes three seconds so long as your watching!  The display of the coral itself is worth it!  Remember, these are considered only for "expert" care...  riiiigght.... just goes to show how much cooler we tank feeders are. Thursday, August 4, 2011 6:36 AM (permalink) 0 Hey All I keep a colony in each of my brood stock tanks.  They are in high demand.  Once you get them healthy, they will actually spawn as well & you will find baby sun corals popping up all over the place.    I keep my tanks in moderate flow, so I dont have a problem with food getting lodged in anywhere.  I feed a variety of mysis, cyclopeeze, and pellets and never spot feed the coral.  I even have some black sun coral which many people say are impossible to keep. I suggest everyone start adding some pieces if they can.   #13 Umm_fish?
