I have used the rope handle one you showed with no issue. I also purchased a blue one last year in prep for some seahorses.

That one from Walmart is pretty much the exact one I use. The ones I get are from fleet and farm.

I saw those yesterday in Walmart, I don't know why not with cleaning, which is all mine ever have had. They get a wide range of uses but these particulars are mostly used for livestock feed buckets. I cant believe they would leave toxins in for expensive livestock to absorb. So I just scrub mine out with dish detergent, rinse and use. That's what the ones I buy for the system will get. Very soon.

There was a long time back concerns over LDPE vs. HDPE. LDPE is #4 IIRC, and HDPE is #2 (recycle wise). I made sure all my BRTs were HDPE, just to be safe.

The walmart items above are 5 - PP (polypropylene). What is the verdict on that plastic type for saltwater? It is used for food products per below. I ordered 2, and walmart gave me 8 for $20.... can't complain I guess. http://www.3reef.com/threads/reef-safe-plastics-leaching-myths-facts.57828/ http://www.walmart.com/ip...Tubs-Set-of-2/40977746
