I was at Moby's before this was posted and they had some blennies but couldn't say what species for sure since I wasn't looking for them at the time. Check with Chad there, they usually have some. Afterward I was at Atlantis and Amazon and neither had any.

Ok I'll check, I should be going to Mobys tomorrow. I could probably put them on hold.

I checked they weren't the right kind, I'll just have them order myself some once I finish my broodstock tanks.

I'm looking for a pair of Red Mandarin Dragonets, Pterosynchiropus splendidus. If anyone can help point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Looking to get them within the month. They don't have to be mated. Just a male and female is fine. I'll take the chance on them pairing up.

I was thinking of trying nano gobies also. I've got 5, er... 4 blue eye tiny dartfish but tbh, now I understand why Witt just shook his head no when I suggested such; they are just too small. Now, I'm considering trying to work with some local species, maybe a pipefish or a dwarf seahorse.

I think I'd like to hopefully get another pair of mandarins and a pair of flame angels coming up here soon.

well the lfs I usually go to said they can get me some but they don't get pairs from their supplier. They would have to just get me a male and female. They are only 15 a piece so it's not that bad even if I have to add another later on.

what's the best place to get pairs? Does everyone go online? a local fish store? other breeders?

Little bit of both. I buy from online sources, local shops, and sometimes people I know.

I usually get mine from the LFS. The owner is really good at helping me order in the fish I want and he usually orders extras to help me pair them up. Also, the wholesaler is mostly very good at helping if I can give them clues on how to sex the animals.

I talked to the LFS the other day. They are more than willing to get me a male and female, but they can't get pairs. On mandarins what would be the best way to go. Two males one female or two females one male or just stick one to one.
