i think i have isolated an O. marina culture! I couldnt get a quality video to show their locomotion but they swim in circles . to the naked eye they seem phototrophic and gather in tight swarms near the surface of the cultures creating kind of a smoke on the water appearance in cultures with out aeration . these guys had just showed up in my cultures out of the blue after i had fed rice bran to my tigriopus . before i realized what was going on i noticed my tigriopus were all of a sudden gathering in areas exposed to light . tigriopus showing phototrophic tendencies ? upon closer inspection i found the contaminant and realized the tigriopus were eating them and doing very well producing a huge amount of nauplii! i would like to verify that these are O. marina before i blow some money on calanoid starters . thanks in the first pic you can see a hint of a stringy tail trailing the cell on the right
